Christmas Present

For Christmas my parents got me a Nikon Coolpix P90. It has 24x optical zoom (26mm-624mm) and a close-up (macro) feature. It also has a vari-angle lcd screen. I haven't decided wether to keep it or not I like some of the features, such as the lcd screen and the macro feature, but I'm not sure about it's focusing or color. but I did get to try it out Sunday and got some good pictures. Here they are....

Biking

So last night my parents and I went bike riding around our neighbor hood, and I wasn't at all sore or tired from it. So this morning I decided to go for another ride. Well I rode down the nearest beach access and my legs hurt (Yes I am badly out of shape), but even so I rode to the State Park, around the park (the campsite area and some of the woods), then back to a the main road, towards the refinery, and then home. That's the longest I've ridden in awhile, and I was impressed with myself. I didn't even get too, too sore until that last little jaunt home.

Gel Candle

well today I decided to make a gel candle. I used wax from another candle that I didn't like, melted it and added blue dye. The result was this beautiful green color (the other wax was yellow/orange)that unfortunately wasn't very see through. The good point about it not being very transparent, is you can't as easily tell that all the glitter is hugging the wick line and forming a pool of pure glitter at the bottom. Also you can't tell that I poured the wax in to fast causing all the shells to be pushed to the outer edge. But overall it worked out and I know what to try and do differently next time.

Sick

Well yesterday I woke up at one in the morning not feeling well and soon after started throwing up. Around three-thirty I was finally able to go back to bed but I still didn't sleep all that well. Then at six-thirty I was washing my hands in the bathroom and the next thing I know I was waking up on the floor between the toilet and the tub. That was the first time I have ever blacked-out and thankfully the Lord kept me safe and I didn't hurt myself falling. The whole day was a real bummer, I had planned to hang out with my mom and sister and ended up throwing up and laying around all day with stomach pains and headaches.
Thankfully, today I am feeling much better and though my stomach hurts it is most likely only the after effects of being so sick yesterday. Praise the Lord!!!

Guest Room Remodel

Okay so we really got the wallpapering done on the 23rd of October (It was a bit of a pain and the gluey substance on the back of the wallpaper was really slimey. But the room looked so much better with it done) ; but we just got the the headboard delivered today and just assembled the bedside tables tonight. So with that part I am on time in my posting.

Stupid, Stupid salsa, (or stupid, stupid me)

Tonight as I was making myself a burrito I went to shake the salsa, completely forgetting that I had already loosened the lid, and the lid flew off. Not only the lid, but a ton of salsa that coated the counter, most of the things on the counter, the floor (on all sides of the counter), the rug, and of course the stove, fridge, oven, and walls also got their taste of it. I took me about an hour to clean up the whole mess. And then when I put the salsa on my burrito (of course it was the only thing to not get salsa spilled on it), I poured a bit to much on. So yea, Stupid, Stupid, STUPID salsa!

Well on Monday Mom and I got to paint the guest bedroom.

It is going to be a Hawaii/beach theme.

I painted the majority of the base colors.

Photo shoot

Well lately I have been doing a lot of photography and more importantly portrait photography. I am trying to learn portrait photography and have had three different occasions to take pictures recently. The first time was with my mom, and she ended up taking more pictures of me than me of her. The second was with Heidi, and well, yea, it was Heidi so they are all funny. Then I was going to do some fun ones with Heidi and Rae and it wasn't really serious. A lot more setting the camera timer and running to get into place.
